We hope you’ll join us for this week’s Consortio: Learning Together at HFA, 8:30 AM. It’s a great opportunity to connect with families from both the Red and Blue Paths while exploring this month’s theme, “Spotlight on Sharing.” Homeschool families and co-op groups are invited to share how they bring wonder and fun to learning, and one of our fabulous co-op moms will lead a hands-on enrichment activity—so don’t forget your pencil boxes!
Friday, October 17, marked the end of Grading Period 2. We hope you had a chance to review your child’s progress during Parent-Teacher Conferences this month and celebrate their growth so far this semester
Sincerely,
Sandi Knapp

OCTOBER
INITIATIVE
I take initiative. I do the right thing without being told. I am willing to work hard and take personal responsibility. I am courageous and learn from my mistakes.
“We must not be afraid to act. If we are afraid to do something for fear of making a mistake, we will not do anything at all. That is the worst mistake of all. You learn through adversity. We get stronger through adversity.” -Coach John Wooden
ACADEMIC ADVISORS CONNECTION
As ReFLEXion parent conferences wrap up this week, we want to remind you that your academic advisor is always available for support and guidance. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything that we can help you with.
Also, remember that now is a great time (it’s never too late) to build family routines and traditions that last a lifetime. Game time together, dinnertime at the table, and slow-down time at the end of the day. Just to be present with each other and to talk about what your family values.
Check out the new Consortio Parent Hub! An all-inclusive space for resources and connection!
📚 Conference Update Conferences are going very well! It’s so encouraging to see how thoughtfully students have organized their studies, dedicating quality time to each subject area, and making strong progress through their various curriculum programs. We’re proud of their hard work and growth!
🎃 Bates Meet-Up Success! Our Bates Meet-Up this past week was a huge success and so much fun! Both FHL and HFA Blue Path students and families joined together for a wonderful day filled with activities, learning, and fellowship. It was a joy to see such a great turnout and everyone enjoying the fall festivities!
Hygiene Drive: The Sister Project Club will be creating Hygiene Kits to donate to Interfaith in Escondido. Please help us by donating the following items for our kits: razors, travel-size shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, etc. The drive will take place from October 27 to November 7. Please drop off items in the HFA front office. For those students in Sister Project, you can bring the items with you to your next event on November 14.
