A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear HFA Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to those who joined us for the Parent Meeting on Classical Learning evening last Monday. It was a meaningful time to reflect on our shared purpose and the important role of partnership in forming both the minds and hearts of our students.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you tonight at our Spring Showcase. It promises to be a beautiful evening as our students share their learning through performance, recitation, and music. There is something special about watching children step forward with confidence and joy—we are excited to share that with you.

A friendly reminder regarding morning drop-off: we are seeing an increase in students being dropped off too early. Supervision begins when the front gates open at 8:00 a.m. Students should not arrive before that time unless they are in grades 4–8 and attending tutorial, which begins at 7:45 a.m. Students may not wait in the small lobby prior to gate opening. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe and orderly start to each day, as our front office team prepares for student arrival, meal service, and daily operations.

With appreciation,

Sandi Knapp

Principal

THIS MONDAY! HFA SPRING SHOWCASE: We are delighted to invite you to Heritage Flex Academy Spring Showcase—a special evening celebrating our students’ hard work, talents, and the shared classical culture we are building together.

This year’s showcase is especially meaningful as we commemorate two milestones: the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 10th Anniversary of Heritage Flex Academy. Our patriotic and American heritage–themed program will feature songs, poetry, recitations, and musical performances.

All HFA students in grades TK–8 will participate. There will be a Red Path performance and a Blue Path performance. Each performance will last approximately one hour. Red path performance will be at 5:30 pm, Blue path performance will be at 6:45 pm.

The Details:

Students are encouraged to show their patriotic spirit by wearing red, white, and blue in Sunday-best attire. The performance will be held in the American Spirit Theater at Escondido Charter High School.

Red Path students

Students should be dropped off at the ECHS Gym at 5:10 p.m., using the double doors on the side of the gym near the lunch tables. Students will remain with their teachers until the performance begins.

TK and Kindergarten students will perform first and will join their parents in the audience immediately after their performance. Students in grades 1–8 will remain in the gym to be picked up after the performance concludes. At that time, one parent per family should enter the gym through the double doors next to the theater to pick up their child from their teacher.

Blue Path students

Students should be dropped off at the ECHS Gym at 6:25 p.m., using the double doors on the side of the gym near the lunch tables. Students will remain with their teachers until the performance begins.

POISE

I am full of poise. I stay true to my deepest self. I do not allow external forces to control how I act or feel. I am not thrown off by events in my life.

“Most people think of poise as calm, self-assured dignity; but I call it just being you.” -Coach John Wooden
